Adopt-A-Family

Lincoln United Community Coalition, a 501c3 organization made its first Christmas Giveaway to the Ty’Phonesia Evans Family of Ruston, LA. LUCC Officers and Leaders went into high gear after hearing about The Evans Family tragedy. There was an accident of great propulsion that put The Evans Family in great distress during this Christmas Season. The accident threw the 7-year-old daughter through the windshield of a car that put her in critical condition in a New Orleans hospital and the mother was slightly injured as well. The mother is spending the majority of her time going back and forth to New Orleans caring for her daughter in the hospital and her expenses are great. This mother had no time to think about Christmas for her other three children, so we the Lincoln United Community Coalition partnered with the Deltas of Grambling, The Eastern Stars Circle of Protection Chapter #5 of Ruston, The Supercenter Walmart of Ruston, District Attorney John &Alana Belton(Owners of the WingStop of Ruston), and Pastor Edward Smith of Lake Charles, LA join forces to fulfill the children’s every wish for this year’s Christmas list (bikes, clothes, toys) and whatever was needed. This endeavor was a remarkable success, and we want to thank each and everyone that participated. What a joy and a blessing to see the family and children so happy to receive their Christmas gifts as they were delivered on Christmas Eve. This will be an ongoing ministry throughout the year not only on Christmas directed by LUCC. If anyone would like to donate to The Evans Family during their time of distress, please reach out to the Lincoln United Community Coalition President, Pastor W. Lanier Buggs at (318) 265-0299.

We would like to give special thanks to some of the members of LUCC for their diligent work, Troy; Patricia Brooks (Coalition Treasurer &; Secretary), Shonta Kelly (Director of Marketing),Pastor Edward Smith (Board President), and Pastor W. Lanier Buggs (Coalition President). We’re also soliciting for more members to join the Lincoln United Community Coalition to serve our community together because as our motto says, “WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER.” To join LUCC visit our website at www.lincolnunitedcommunitycoalition.org or call Coalition President Pastor W.
